Yummy ice cream with lots of interesting flavors! They also had some great looking chocolate and hard candy. We waited in a long line, but the staff worked quickly to move people through. There was limited seating inside, but luckily we got a table. There were lots of people sitting in creative places outside. We have one lactose intolerant person in our party of 9 and they only had one dairy-free option (raspberry sorbet). I would suggest adding another flavor or offering a more neutral flavor.
This place was really great! Loads of homemade options! The candy is also great! I really like the friendly staff too!
We walked in and looked over the ice cream some cartons were gummy(old) and some had ice crystals. We found 2 flavors that looked fresh and were ready to buy, but the young man mopping the floor made no effort to even speak to us. After about 5 minutes in there, we left. As with another shop in the area, it was expensive and they have the nerve to upcharge for a grocery store cone.
My Family and I had dinner at Hog Wild which was amazing and on our way back to Orange Beach we stopped at Matt's Homemade Ice Cream Shop purchased some candy and some old fashioned home made Ice Cream. I ordered the Caramel Cheesecake and cookie ice cream and it was so good that I savored every bite. If your Ever on the Gulf Coast stop by and give them a try you won't regret it.
