Firefly - Gulf Lagoon Beach

Everything was absolutely amazing, I felt so spoiled. Service was awesome, I wish I remembered his name. He made a girl feel very special on her birthday. We got sushi, the big ribeye, ceasar salad, wine, ans dessert. There was nothing that they put on the table that was bad. It's so worth the price.. I cannot wait to come back to this restaurant.

I made a reservation to be able to sit in the main dining room and we got shoved in a side room when there were a lot of open tables in the main room, we were told they were reserved.. one of those table should have been reserved for me considering I did in fact make a reservation to sit in the main dining room. Other than that everything else was great, 8/10.

Mostly the food was top notch. I had the rack of elk and it came with broccolini. The broccolini looked and tasted as if it had been sitting in a pot of water waiting to be served. The elk on the other hand was outstanding. Perfect temperature, moist, tender and earthy. And the serving size was generous. The wife had the filet and loved it as well. She even brought home a large leftover portion. The service was mediocre. For a place that is trying to be a high end restaurant, their attention and energy level could be higher. We felt like it was a long time before they even approached us once we were seated. They did seat us rather quickly though. Our server seemed very timid, and unfocused, but our orders were correct when they arrived. The ambiance felt more like a bar than a nice restaurant. There is in fact a quite lively bar area as you enter, and then it opens up into larger rooms to the left and to the right. The center of the main dining room is a huge fake oak tree that is lighted and sprawls across most of the dining area. There are small alcoves around the main area that are separated by curtains to create smaller areas. Overall, the food was good if a little pricey for the atmosphere, the ambiance was a little quirky and loud, the drinks were strong even though they took a while to get there. I'd choose somewhere else though if you're looking for a nice romantic spot for a special occasion.

Reservation was made for specific area but they was trying to.sit us in the wrong section. Wine price could be better, very expensive even if you compare with the airport restaurant prices. Asparagus was big and hard, not the best quality.

Always packed. Martini and sushi girls night. Love the selection of martinis. The sushi is delicious.
