El Picarol - Guils de Cerdanya

Small family restaurant. Good local cuisine and food. Highly recommended “pintxos” on Thursday evening.

By a recommendation and because of it was near to our camp site, we had a dinner in this small restaurant in Guils de Cerdanya!! Completely a hidden gem in this littlest town. They take time to cook our order but all was really delicious. Let me tell you that the owner and the service were simply friendly and attentive all the time.

The only restaurant in Guils and absolutely fantastic. The food is all fresh prepared and very good. You'll have to wait a little for your lunch but it's worth it.

We arrived on a hot day at 12:30. So had a beer and olives (gift from owner) under the parasol, until it was open for Lunch at 1:30. The food was really good. I had chicken after the starter, it was excellent. The owners have been there for a year now and were very friendly, even using 'google translate ' to find an item on the menu in English. Would highly recommend! (again)

Recently under new management, offers better value for money, at 9€ daily menu and 14€ at weekends. Friendly, quiet anc just on Guils town centre, offers a nice mountain ambiance. Molt recomanable.
