Briket' Bistrot - Guéthary

We have visited this restaurant quite a few times. In our experience there is nowhere better in the area for reliable fine dining. The menu is well constructed and the staff are consistently helpful and efficient. The wine list is high quality but allows for good mid-priced options. Just a great place to take visiting friends to impress. Local rivals might produce as good food on occasion but can be inconsistent either in quality or service. The atmosphere is not informal but is very relaxed and the ambience very good both outdoors when the weather allows or indoors.

We had a wonderful lunch here. The patio is beautiful with nice views of the mountains. The food was outstanding and the tasting menus very reasonably priced given the quality of the food. I had the zucchini flower, the steak, and the strawberry dessert- all delicious. My husband loved the foie gras, the pigeon and peach dessert. The complimentary dessert treats were delicious as well. Service was excellent. A great stop (with easy parking) on the way to Biarritz. Highly recommended!
