Discovered this treasure restaurant randomly by searching “sushi” on the Google map after hiking in Bronte Creek trails. First time tried several sashimi, the toro and uni they offered are really amazing. Then I decided to try their omakase course, I must say they offer the best omakase in the price range around $120. I will often have my dinner here in the future although I live in Vaughan.
Sushi Masayuki is a great experience, one must-have for omakase in the GTA.In a quaint location, with the simplest of decors, Chef Masayuki churns out one course after the other, each building on top of the flavors of the other. We were here for my wife's birthday, and we felt celebrated.Chef also spoke about what he enjoys eating outside of work, which was a simple pasta. We will definitely visit again. The decor can certainly be improved to match his prowess. It would also be very interesting to see if Chef Masayuki can extend his skills beyond sushi and perhaps look into collaborations with chefs from other cuisines. I personally would love to experience the flavors of Italy through a Japanese service.
What a wonderful experience! Great food, impeccable service and enjoyable atmosphere. We ordered sushi and sashimi dinner for main course, along with tempura and pork belly appetizers, two deserts and sake. Both sushi and sashimi were top of the line in terms of both freshness and taste and deserve special mention, as well as tempura (absolutely the best). Overall, this was a wonderful and truly enjoyable meal!
We had the Omakase for our anniversary dinner. We were very excited to be able to go to a more upscale Japanese restaurant in Burlington. We usually head to places in Toronto to eat fancier Japanese and we loved every bite. The Chawanmushi (savoury egg custard dish) was divine we ate some dishes that we'd never had before. I especially loved the soup in the ironstone teapot. The sushi was also amazing. Would definitely come back bring people. Elegant simple decor and nice service. The quality is reflected in the pricing and should not be compared to the run of the mill sushi restaurants that are usually found in Burlington. (which we also enjoy for our regular sushi cravings). If you looking for a authentic Japanese food, I highly recommend coming here.
