They incorporated a generous amount of mushrooms into their dishes and made sure to clearly indicate any presence of eggs or milk. The food was outstanding and the presentation was exceptional. Despite the smaller portion sizes compared to other Chinese vegetarian restaurants, we found ourselves still craving more after trying six dishes. The mushroom steak and chocolate lava cake were standout items that we highly recommend, though the lava cake does contain egg. While the prices were on the higher side, this is not a spot for those on a tight budget. We will definitely be returning to JoyVege/Soodle as a regular dining destination in the future. It offers something unique and special in the world of vegetarian cuisine.
My girlfriend discovered this restaurant during a bar crawl in New Town. Located on the second floor, it has an elegant atmosphere that feels somewhat out of place. It reminds me of a high-end lunch spot in Soho that requires reservations. The menu is extensive and detailed, making it difficult to choose just one dish to try. While mushrooms are their specialty, they are not included in every dish. The presentation of the food was subtle yet impressive. The dishes were simple but delicious. Although a bit on the pricier side, it is worth treating yourself or your date to a meal here at least once. Overall, it left a good impression. The restaurant offers a variety of Eastern and Western dishes. While I found the portions to be a bit small, the food was tasty. I tried the mushroom steak with a pepper jack mushroom sauce, which was delicious. The curry was also good, but not standout. I also shared tofu squares with a tasty sauce. I was surprised by the upscale atmosphere with white tablecloths. The dessert display at the front did not offer any gluten-free or vegan options. Overall, it was a nice experience worth trying, especially if you crave Western flavors. This restaurant may feel more familiar to Westerners compared to other establishments.

The ambiance is reminiscent of a reservation-only lunch spot in Soho. The menu is extensive and detailed, offering a variety of dishes that are sure to please any palate. While mushrooms are a specialty, they are not incorporated into every dish. The presentation of the food is impeccable and adds to the overall dining experience. The food itself is simple yet delicious. Although it may be slightly pricey, it is worth treating yourself or your date to a meal here. The restaurant left a positive first impression. The restaurant offers a variety of Eastern and Western dishes. The portions may be on the small side, but the food is delicious. I particularly enjoyed the mushroom steak with a pepper jacket mushroom sauce. The curry was also good, and the tofu squares with an unknown sauce were tasty. The ambiance of the restaurant felt elevated with white tablecloths, which made me feel slightly out of place. They had a small dessert display, but I did not inquire about gluten-free vegan options. Overall, it was a beautiful experience and worth a visit for those who enjoy Western flavors. However, it may not be a regular spot for everyone, especially those who prefer other restaurants.
