Mexico Lindo y Sabroso - Guanajuato

We got there around 2pm, the place was not that busy. Food was good but waiters were not at.their best. Price is decent between 100 and 150 pesos.

We sat right in the courtyard, very pleasant, ordered margaritas, delicious. Then went ahead and ordered and the service was prompt, friendly. The food was very good, we truly enjoyed our experience.

We just arrived there by chance because we were meeting with an old friend. Because our friend was almost leaving when we arrived, the staff got confused and really didn't welcome us when we got there. We had some ice cream that they recommended to us and a couple of lemonades... Maybe it was the time (6:00pm) or the day, but it looked like they where not expecting to have more costumers. In the end everything was just ok, but when the check came, I was really surprised with the price of the ice cream, I can only imagine the price of the food... Not a terrible experience, but don't feel like going back to try the food either.

We love the walk to and around the reservoir. Although there's a lot to be said for having lunch at the outdoor place at the eastern end of the lake (just for the view), we prefer to finish our visit and walk back down thru the park to Mexico Lindo.The restaurant is beautiful and incredibly relaxing. The staff speaks some English, but as always in Mexico some Spanish is very helpful for the best experience.Every dish we've had here has been very good; the Chili Relleno is among the best ever, anywhere.One special feature of the restaurant is a selection of Yucatecan specialties, like panuchos and cochinita pibil. We live in Yucatan (hundreds of miles from here) and appreciate having the chance for something different, but if you've never been to our isolated part of southeastern Mexico, take this opportunity to try some excellent examples of our unique regional food.

Not sure why this restaurant is not higher rated, but the locals know it and recommend it ! Have eaten here quite a few times and the meal has been great always. Selection of wine is limited if that is a concern, but ok. Everything else is wonderful. Service excellent. They bring a plate of spicy salsa and taco chips/chicharones to start. Our courses were simple and flavorful. The margarita was a little too sweet, and they fixed it without any complaints. Lots of variety for local fare.
