Maison Paulette - Guadalajara

Went to “Maison Paulette” for the first time last week Saturday. I was attracted to Maison Paulette because of what pastries were featured on their instagram page. I had breakfast and it was okay; the service was good; but I bought a box of brownies and a box of cookies to eat with my family for christmas; the cookies were good but the brownies had a strong freezer burnt taste and would crumble when they were bitten into. The brownies were mostly dry on top of the unappetizing flavor of freezer burnt food. I will be more hesitant to come back to this establishment. I should have known instagram doesn’t really speak for quality food. Not clear if the pastries they serve were actually made there or by a mass production company based on my first experience at Maison Paulette.

Not only delicious for the bakery but also extraordinary for the breakfast options. I strongly recommend El Campirano and starting with the Parfait. You will love this place...... please ask to be attended by Victoria, excellent service and she provides great recommendations.

Five Stars are not my usual rating for a restaurant. However, this boutique cafe has stolen my heart. The vegetarian quiche with spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms is a definite must for foodies. Maison Paulette has decadent desserts including NewYork Cheese Cake and Terciopelo Rojo, a fabulous limonado with mint leaves and a very good hamburger for those who indulge in protein. The cappuccino is marvelous. Service was impeccable: friendly but professional, timely and attentive. Our server was Wendy who was charming and watchful. Decor was marble topped cafe tables, a tiny, classic French sofa and chair. The quiet boutique setting was surrounded by the shops of darlings of the design world, like Dolce Gabana, Hermes and Chloe. Perfect setting. Perfect food. Perfect Dessert. Perfect Capuccino. Five Star.

Maison Paulette es un excelente lugar para ir en pareja o en familia a desayunar o tomar el brunch. Los platos son muy ricos y a buen precio. El ambiente y la decoración del lugar es muy agradable. La atención es excelente. Eso sí, si asisten un sábado o un domingo y prefieren no esperar mucho para sentarse es mejor llegar temprano.
