It's absolutely one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Brick oven cooked with wood, giving the pizza a slight smokey hint and small charing to the dough and cheese adds even more depth in flavor. We get the family special most of the time and eat the leftovers for lunch the next day. Fantastic warmed up. The only con is that when they are busy, it can be a little load, but that might just be me.
Great food, kind folks employed there. Prompt service.
Excellent sauce, fresh toppings, perfectly cooked pizza. The Caesar salad was big, and the dressing was good. Cool place.
Inedible and unacceptable. I’ve never experienced this here before. The crust was abnormally burnt and the ash on it wasn 't the way it normally is. I 'm not sure why they sent me the link to their landing page It doesn 't help. I 'll add an extra star for at least reaching out. I don 't want anything free for my bad experience. I 'm only leaving the review to hopefully help the workers/managers to have a little more oversight on what is served. Being in the service industry is so hard, I understand that. Bob Dylan said, Everybody serves somebody but nowadays no one wants to. Most employees only do it to get a paycheck because they simply have to. It causes resentment and lack of care. Here is my unsolicited advice : Pay them a living wage the workers will care more and take pride in their jobs. In other words, they will put their best selves into it. Hire extremely firm yet caring, encouraging and motivational managers. Having all of these things in a manager is RARE. They should always aim for progress and perfection then, pass it on. If they care everyone will care. If employees aren 't shown and encouraged to be passionate, with perfectionism. They 'll almost NEVER care. Managers need to be consistent and firm with perfection in the workplace. Otherwise, the lack of care and accountability goes down and down. Details matter. The smallest of details matter. Anyway, I love Smashing Tomato. I always have... I just have a hard time when there is change in quality and consistency. Especially, considering I have been eating at various locations in Lexington since the opening of the Mall Rd. location.
