I am koeliac, milk-free and have many allergies and intolerances. I was a little worried, unfortunately I couldn't have the seafood plated, but ended. with melone and parma ham for starters, they brought me a fresh bowl of green salad and olive oil and red-white on the side. for the net I had the derecote with salat. sad I couldn't have the chips. but ended with a fine meal. beautiful location at the harbour!
First, the employees here we met were very nice, service was fast and efficient. the main problem for us was the quality of the kitchen. we ordered from us. the 26 euro menu and both had the same starter and main seafood bisque was pleasant with. a beautiful garni of cheese, crumbs and saffron aioli. the moulles mariner were probably the worst I overcooked for a long time, overwhelmed and served with a side of fries, which were also overcooked and overspooked. desserts were both very average. all in all not the best lunch we had in gruissan, but it was busy, so maybe we were unhappy. as we return to home and check ta, we might better decide.
This is one of the first restaurants at port beach that they happen and we are glad that it happened. this restaurant was a recommendation from the ingenious jean- michel in the chateau capitoul and it has a varied menu that suits every taste...(Menu image attached.) I had a great goat cheese salad and my long-awaited fiancée enjoyed their smoked salmon starter. there was also in the formula selection of 26 € large. for the main I went for meat grill of the day, which was a bavette and lsf went for the moule; again in portions were decent and all well cooked. the desserts were superb an fruit-couli crumb and a chocolate mollelleux that all choc-hit need to have been able to go home with the haste; was wise enough not to offer. In summary, this is a pleasant experience and we will return
We visited this restaurant on 2 evenings, the first time we just had a pasta dish with sea food......it was a huge bowl full and with so much fish with every mouthful....it was delicious. impressed, so we took friends there another evening and had a good selection off the set menus and were again amazed by the size of the portions served.....visit here and see for yourselves
A very popular restaurant in summer doing over 600 covers on any given day. It would be interesting to know how they would cope under pressure. However, this is the second time I've eaten here with family and there is nothing to disappoint and much to praise. Even on wintry Tuesday in January in a deserted Gruissan port there are 6/7 tables of mixed groups. For 17 euros plus wine in carafe, the three course lunch was delicious and service friendly and efficient. Very generous and well presented tureen of fish soup, an excellent pot of fresh mussels and real chips, followed by a basin of fromage frais and honey to rinse clean the palate. Simply excellent and ideal fare for the season. The experience would take me back and does suggest that the cooking is fresh and worth trying a la carte.
