La Pergola - GROTTAFERRATA

We were very late arriving at this little restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to see that food was still being served. We opted for the pizza menu (mainly because it was clear that the waiter wanted us to order, eat and leave as quickly as possible! This is a really good-value at 12 Euro for a starter (comprising bruschetta and a mix of fried arrancini, olive ascolane and something else , a large pizza with toppings of your choice and coffee. The pizza had a lovely light, crispy base and tasty tpppings. I would return, though not just as late!

Took here by our guide, a typical Italian restaurant where the family lives above the restaurant. Typical antipasto with exceptional homemade pasta and deserts, huge portions, liters of Frescata wines.
