Samurai Noodle Grill - Groton

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered the vegan ramen and the Bao buns, along with a few drinks. The service was lacking, as we waited for about 2 hours to receive our food despite the restaurant not being very busy. The Bao buns were fine, but for $10 they were more like an appetizer than a meal. The ramen was okay, although it was served at room temperature. It was so unappetizing that I wanted to send it back, but we couldn't find our waitress. At that point, we were so hungry and just wanted to leave. I'm not sure if I would give this restaurant another try.

I loved the vegan Bao bun, but the miso soup was the highlight of the meal. It was great to see others trying it as well, but I wasn't hungry enough to try it tonight.

The vegan Bao beans were delicious, but I was disappointed with the vegan pho. It lacked flavor entirely. Pho should simmer for days to develop a rich taste, but this tasted like a store-bought broth with noodles tossed in. I had to add sriracha, soy sauce, liquid aminos, and fresh basil at home to improve the dish, but I shouldn't have to season my meal when dining out.

I'll be back in the final. the wrong suppe surprised me how tasteful it was. it had bok choy, shiiitake and scaling in an amazingly tasty and satisfying nebel broth. the menu included other items labeled as vegan (pho, bao steamed rolls), as well as other items that are not specifically called vegan but could be vegan (e.g. veggie ramen, ingwer veg stir fry).
