Chester's Barbecue - Groton

The meat and sauces were incredibly flavorful, and the cornbread was absolutely delightful! However, the macaroni and cheese was quite disappointing—bland and dry, resembling plain boiled macaroni.

I had steered clear of Chester's for several years. What used to be my favorite barbecue spot had turned mediocre, with flavorless sides and dry meats. However, I decided to give it another shot and ordered the burnt ends, boneless rib meat, corn, and cinnamon apples. They’re back in form! The burnt ends were rich and absolutely the best I've ever had. The sides were generous and perfectly seasoned. I had enough food for two meals. Fantastic experience!

The food was delicious, but they forgot my mac and cheese, which is one of my favorites. I really love my mac and cheese!

You can't go wrong wit the Sampler for 2! everything is delicious pork ribs, chicken plus collard greens and baked beans!!

The first time in ct went with some employees. I play a game with new restaurants where I ask the staff to choose for me. I wasn't disappointed. I have the 2 meat plate. pulled pork burned ends mac and cheese maisbrot some concoction that I am not sure what was in it. everything was delicious and cooked for perfection. Thank you! oh yes, the personal also spoke to a worker of me who is in bbq. I heard a lot.
