City Kitchen - Grosse Pointe Farms

Called on 5/4 5PM to book a 7PM reservation on 5/9 for a birthday dinner. Drove 28 miles in rush hour traffic. Arrived to find restaurant closed. Call to restaurant, recording said restaurant was closed on 5/9. Arriving home, found telephone message, left less than 3 hrs before reservation saying the restaurant was closed because of staffing issues. We had already left. More than disappointed.

A bit pricey but really good quality food and service.

It's a very nice and accommodating spot! Hot food was hot, cold food was cold. The server and host were very attentive and professional. Food was very good in its presentation and taste, although I thought the food could use a bit more salt in general. The octopus was great, as was the scallop special. The girlfriend loved the crab cakes. Prices were on par with a restaurant of this quality. It's definitely worth a try.

We had a great dining experience at City Kitchen. Our server was thoughtful and attentive. The water was always filled without asking and used plates were cleared quickly. Appetizers, drinks, and main dish came out fast and were delicious. We’ll be back! Great for a local date night.
