A tavern that has remained in the years when taverns didn't try too hard to show off, a family tavern where you'll find grandma preparing you a wonderful tomato salad with fresh ingredients, grandpa making you the best lamb ribs you've ever eaten with local meat and the grandson to bring the bill. There you will find in one corner a group of village grandfathers drinking tsipouro and watching Spyros Papadopoulos in reruns, in the other corner a group of young people eating their souvlaki, thus ending their day. It is not the shop where you will ask for a list, nor the shop where the waiter will come and tell you 100 quiches in 30 seconds, it is the shop where they will come and ask you what you want us to make for you. Unfortunately these shops have almost disappeared in an age of instagram and tictok and the only ones left are those maintained by the locals. I still remember when I was little Christmas the shop full of people from all over and on the dance floor live traditional songs. If you're nearby make a detour it's worth it.
