Thai Cornar - Griffith

A small popular venue tucked in between numerous cafes and other cuisine in Manuka. We were a party of four, prompt table service and a simple menu of mostly western style dishes. We had two entrees, three mains and rice. The meal was great value as it came to @$75 inc drinks. Kids loved the flavours and friendly staff.

Nice little restaurant with friendly staff and good speedy service, varied menu with many different choices of great items to eat.

Arrived in Canberra on Good Friday so options were limited. Thai is usually a good option and this place offered space and speed as we were a little late by the time we wandered in. The food was good and simple with excellent service and the food came quite quickly. as a side light I ordered takeaway a couple of nights later and it too was great & very prompt.

We would like to say the food here was great but actually it was mostly very good. We had to return our first rice bucket because it was cold, and the replacement was only warm. Our orders of pad thai and a green curry were tasty but nothing special but the fish cakes to start were very nice. The reason we will not return here was the rice issue, and the service when paying the bill. The 2% surcharge for using a debit card was queried and met with a shoulder shrug and statement to the effect that everyone does it. Maybe they do, in Canberra, but a little more manners would be appreciated. Thai Cornar is not for us in the future.
