The guy working in the food truck was friendly and outgoing, but the food was very disappointing and obviously overpriced. I paid $12 for a child-size portion of bland pulled pork mac n cheese and $2 for a bottle of Kirkland brand water. To be quite honest, I could have bought better quality water and more flavorful food at a gas station for a better price.
Jakarta's egg rolls are the best in the world!!! Love it!!! I lost you, I would like to find you!!!
Ordered the teriyaki noodle. Menu stated $15, he charged $15.99, the noodles were spaghetti noodles. Definitely would suggest going elsewhere
Never, ever consider inviting/hiring the unreliable Jakarta Cafe. This small pull-behind trailer (not truck) started serving 30 minutes late for a scheduled 90-minute reserved lunch time, and the one person running it was ridiculously slow. Even though they were not ready to serve food for the first 1/3 of the time we expected them, they still expected us to supplement their sales to meet a minimum total for coming to our location for the time period. They have a reputation for being ridiculously slow at food truck rodeos, and they are a disaster if you rely only on them. You will be sorry if you invite them to your location because they will disappoint everyone and spoil your event.
Tried food from the Jakarta BBQ Station as they came to my place of work and regretting it. Ordered the combination special which was pork, chicken on mac cheese. The chicken was the worst I've had. There was no flavor at all and it seemed like it was cooked in a pressure cooker with no seasoning. The pork did not have much flavor either. The meat would have probably been better if they cooked it in the BBQ sauce. Mac and cheese was the best part which is sad because BBQ is all about meat/flavor. Only giving two stars due to portion size/mac and cheese. Would not try it again.
