Unfortunately, the restaurant was experiencing staffing issues, which they informed us about upon our arrival. Despite this, we ended up waiting for 2.5 hours. Given the small size of the restaurant with only 15 tables, we felt that the two servers could manage the service even if there were some delays. We were offered one round of drinks after 45 minutes, but we were never offered a second round during our entire visit. Additionally, we were never asked if we wanted dessert. They ran out of iced tea by 8:00 and didn't provide any alternatives. Our food did not arrive until after 1 hour and 45 minutes, and the fish was dry and overcooked. We were not offered a salad, bread, or any other sides. While we sympathize with their staffing challenges, it seemed they did not handle the situation very well. On the bright side, they did not charge us for our one round of drinks, which was the least they could do.

We had high hopes for a special Valentine's Day dinner at the Mesquite Grill, but our experience fell short. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a long line of patrons waiting for their tables. After waiting 45 minutes past our reservation time, we were finally seated. Unfortunately, due to a staffing shortage, it took another 20 minutes before anyone attended to us. We didn’t receive our food until 8:40, despite having a 7:00 reservation. My husband ordered a rack of lamb, but what arrived was a disappointing plate of just two skinny bones with a little bit of meat on the ends. While the other food we had was decent, the overall service was terrible, and the restaurant didn’t offer any compensation for the poor experience. Given this, I'm hesitant to return for a second try.

We had a 6:30 reservation for Valentine's Day dinner, but the service was noticeably lacking due to a shortage of staff. It took over an hour for us to receive our appetizer, which consisted of just two small crab cakes. After that, we waited over another hour for our main course. The scallops were overcooked and rubbery, though the single skewer of shrimp was decent. During our long wait, one couple decided to get up and leave. The rest of us were left feeling frustrated and shaking our heads. Overall, it was a $100+ experience for a very mediocre meal. I would not recommend it.

We went there on Valentines Day, which was probably a big mistake. After making the reservation, the owner called to verify our reservation and he assured us we would absolutely love the restaurant. Based on that I was sort of excited. We arrived at 6:25 for our 6:30 reservation. The place was pretty full and there were only 3 table open. We were seated and a few minutes later we were told there would be a wait. We ordered our drinks and then placed our order when they were served. We ordered some crab cake appetizer and salads. About 30 minutes later our crab cakes were given to the table next to us that arrived after we did. About 15 minutes later our salads arrived and about 30 minutes later our crab cakes arrived. The crab cakes were good but at $12 for 2 rather small crab cakes it was overpriced. We ordered two of the higher end seafood dishes with an extra order of 1 lb of king crab legs $28) which arrived about 30 minutes later. The salmon, scallops and shrimp were over seasoned and over cooked. The crab legs were a real disappointment as they were overcooked and tasted like smoke rather than crab and were cold. Someone seated next to us said there's no way they were king crab legs. After that we did order some dessert which was the best part of the entire meal probably because they were made ahead of time. While there we watched one couple just walk out and not return and another table threatened to leave because it was taking so long. When we got our check I looked at my watch and noticed we'd been there 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Very memorable, special dining experience, dined with another couple and everyone enjoyed their meal.
