Fantastic Italian cuisine with a wonderful atmosphere! The food is high quality and reasonably priced. It would be an excellent choice for a date night or a happy hour gathering.

Both the soup (made with fava beans, garbanzo beans, and pinto beans) and the heirloom tomato salad were delicious. Normally, the tasting portion of the pasta is about half-sized, but this time, I received just a handful of ribbon pasta with four marble-sized veal meatballs. That caught me off guard; I usually have enough left over to take home, but I finished it in just three bites. The entrées, as always, were enormous. I ordered the wild seabass, roasted with fresh tomato sauce, green olives, pine nuts, and raisins. It looked more like a baked casserole than what I had envisioned, but the fish was flaky and light. My dining companion chose the wine-braised lamb shank, and when it arrived, we couldn't help but laugh at the size of it. Even the waiter chuckled at how massive it was. The lamb was tender and well-prepared, and she decided to take most of it home, so the waiter wrapped it in aluminum foil—it looked like something straight out of a caveman’s feast! The new Il Fornaio app still confuses me at times, as it does some of the staff, but we managed to navigate it, and I earned points for the meal that can be redeemed for items like a free salad or dessert, eventually even for a full meal. Overall, we had a great dining experience at a fair price, which I consider a fantastic deal.
