Zambrero - GREENWAY

Went here for a snack some Guacamole and chips - added a Corona and it was a great late lunch that kept me going

Love coming here because the food is great, and you are helping someone else to eat. Mix and match, you can't go wrong.

There was a line for lunch on a weekday which I took as a good sign. That gave me time to study the menu and how to order as I don't know much about Mexican food. The chikito ( small burrito) was fabulous. I had lamb, white rice, bean salsa, cheese and the red chilli sauce in the chikito wrap. My friend had similar but with black rice and pork. All the marinated meats looked terrific. I can't wait to go again for the taste of the food. Staff were efficient and friendly. There were tables and chairs but of the fast food variety, rather than relaxed seating. I think it is more suitable for takeaway. I love that you can get a variety of ingredients and can choose a bowl rather than bread if you wish. I also liked that the chilli sauce wasn't laced with garlic and didn't make me go back to work with bad breath. I didn't see any coffee machine -,I would have liked a coffee to finish. It was, however, a all round good experience.

We went to Zambrero's for dinner as I daughter was attracted to the goodwill of the company.. for every Burrito or bowl purchased one is provided to a person in need. This is a commendable gesture and certainly worthy of support; however, the food was very mediocre even for a sit down/ take away cafe. The staff clearly did not want to be there as interacting with customers or managing a smile was beyond their capabilities.

The service was really friendly here, they went out of their way to fulfil my requestsThe price point was OK at $11.90 for a meat/salad bowl.
