The only downside is that I requested carside delivery and after calling and waiting no one came. A few workers were occupied outside smoking. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. I ordered the salmon Cake, chocolate chip waffle, Belgian waffle and eggs. The eggs were good, salmon cake was a little salty and waffles were ok.
Good: everything was clearly cooked to order. Fried chicken was great. Service was good, about what you'd expect in a local diner. Bad: decor is super basic. Not sure on the cleanliness but nothing obviously dirty. Food took a super long time to come out. Breakfast sandwich is super basic. I could have made it at home in 3 min and saved $7. Not sure how this place gets 4.5 stars. It's average at best.
This was a cute little joint that I decided to try after three hours across the street in the barbershop. The menu offers lots of options and isn’t steep. Seating is tight so we sat at the bar. The place was obviously popular. The food was great. My order was taken and served quickly. The French toast, country sausage and lemonade were amazing. I only suggest more staff, the waitress was overwhelmed, someone at the front to seat or acknowledge people and to update Google. Otherwise I had a really good experience.Kid friendly
I never write reviews but I am today. 2 people. Waited 70+ minutes for our food until we just decided to leave as we only ordered water. I’m not blaming the server. If it had come this late we were not about to be paying this in full. Willing to come back again eventually but this wasn’t a really good first experience at all. I’ve been wanting to try this place for over a year but this was extremely disappointing.
I have just heard of this eatery a couple of months ago. I wanted to try it since I heard that the food was good. The day before trying it, I rode past it so I can figure out the parking because I’m familiar with that area. The parking is a little confusing since it sits in a curb. Nevertheless, I went the next morning and parked in a lot next to it. The atmosphere was friendly and down to earth, and I was seated immediately. The greater showed me to my table and not to much longer, my waitress came over. She was super friendly and greeted me with a smile. Then she offers me the menu, which had lots of options to choose from. I ordered the shrimp and grits topped with bacon, with a side of hash browns. I rated the food a 2 because the bacon was burnt which did not make the food taste too good. The hash potatoes were a little cold and crunchy. The grits were creamy, which was great, but the overall dish was disappointing. I do like the convenience of paying for the meal because it allowed me to scan the receipt and use my Apple pay. The meal came up to $26 including the tip. I wanted to give my first experience a higher rating, but my first impression was not impressive. I may try to give them a second chance, but not any time soon.
