Dairy - Greenville

A local favorite in Greenville that we've relied on for years really missed the mark during our last visit. While their burgers and lobster rolls continue to impress, their once-celebrated ice cream has lost its luster. The ingredients felt underwhelming and lacked shine, and the sprinkles seemed more abundant than flavorful, leaving us searching for taste in the soft serve. The hard ice cream, however, was delicious and appears to be where they excel now. We’ll definitely return, but with a new approach—this time, we'll stick to the menu items.

The cheeseburger was quite tasty, and the staff were pleasant. However, there are no public restrooms available.

We ordered drinks but no food. It was challenging to feel at ease placing an order due to my wife's nut allergy. Fortunately, the dairy bar is well-versed in handling allergies; the server promptly put on new gloves to prepare my wife's soft serve ice cream cone. Another positive aspect is that they offer both soft serve and Gifford's ice cream, which is a nice twist on the traditional options.

As the main meal we ordered chicken pliers, cheeseburgers, curly frits and shoe stingries. The chicken teeth were super crisp and tasted really good. The Cheeseburger was very delectable, not dry, but juicy. It was a good size, not too small and not too big. The curly pommes and shoe fries were crispy and had good amounts of salt on them. For ice cream we have a peppermint ice cream, muddy boots, German chocolate cake and an ice cream sun. I personally recommend getting the German chocolate cake, it was sweet and also had a bit crispy. We originally missed it as a food place, but it was definitely worth it. Overall, it is a great place to eat in Greenville, Maine. Very recommended to eat a bite or an ice cream as a snack.

I have lived in Greenville for two years now and this is the worst experience that I have had in Greenville with the Dairy bar yet. I dropped a few sprinkles on the table days ago and I cleaned them up. So as a result she would not serve me sprinkles and accused me of tipping the tip jar over which I had no part in. So when I went to try to order A ice cream without sprinkles she slammed the window in my face.
