We called the front desk and asked to see a manager and they said no manager was Onsite so they switched our room to another room. The next morning I was woke up out my sleep to banging on the walls. They were having work done on the hotel. It was a horrible experience to wake up to banging noises. Then on Sunday at checkout While packing I heard a whole fight cussing profanity outside my door on the 5th floor. We came from 5hrs away to stay at this hotel for our Anniversary Weekend and the whole weekend was very disappointing. We paid over $300 for the weekend. I am pissed!
I checked in at 5:30, kicked out by 8:30. My family and I had relatives in for my nieces birthday party and we all went to the pool to let the kids cool down. We just left Vino Van Gogh for the birthday party so we brought our sweets and the rest of our pizza from the party and sit them on the table at the pool. Big family of ten was already there with at least ten pizza boxes and a couple of them had beers and some red cups so I went and brought in my whiskey bottle so my brother and I could throw one or two back. We were also sitting 20 feet from the pool by the weight room. We eventually sit down there for at least two hours before they had the no pony tail having front desk clerk come down to be rude about us having food and drinks at the pool. Long story short, my sister called her a b-word and Miss No Ponytail responded with the b-word. Very unprofessional for both of them, especially in front of the kids but my sister don 't work there. Cops were called and I only spent ten minutes in my room while my kids changed into their swimming suit. i also was kicked out with a police escort. One thing I don 't do is play about my family. This guy walked pass them with ten pizzas from dominoes going straight to the pool area but nothing was said. They say they had cameras, but it took them 2.5 hours to come be rude about my whiskey. Moral of the story, offer Miss No Ponytail a drink before you take yours and you will be alright because that Dominos pizza box she had must 've been bussin. Customer Service should be taught to the front desk clerks also with this company. Being nice can go a long way, especially if it 's in your job description.
My Employer booked this location so I had no CHOICE. This location doesn 't need to hold the name Crowne Plaza it 's definitely the low budget version I expected luxury. I arrived at 6:45pm the lobby was not clean, the front desk agent who checked me in was not welcoming or friendly at all,(That ruined it from day 1) not pleasant I did not get her name Unfortunately. The room is extremely out dated and old. Stains in the carpet, wallpaper tearing off the walls, the cabinet where the fridge was located was falling apart. The bathroom uggh hair in the tub, the mirror has some type of substance on it and someone drew a smiley face on it so it clearly wasn 't clean prior to me coming. I was very disappointment this hotel doesn 't fit the Brand as a whole. When I check into hotels I always record and take pictures because of the incidentals people are sneaky Included them to verify my claim. They have a sign says Thanks for Staying and during our renovation well they need to just shut down and renovate because this is doesn 't live up to the 4 Star reputation.Nearby activities: The plus is the hotel is located near lots of shopping and restaurants.
We flew in from the west coast on a red eye and were welcomed by such kind people at the front desk. Everything here is nice and CLEAN the hotel itself, and also our room. I want to thank Kiara in the restaurant, especially for fetching me some hot water for my tea, to take up to my room. She had a friendly smile and a generous spirit, which I really appreciated. The same with the 2 young ladies who were overseeing breakfast this morning. The breakfast was delicious REAL orange juice, REAL bacon, REAL eggs, and REAL butter! Thank you, everyone there, for making our short stay such a treat! We most certainly WILL be coming back!
Spent 3 nights there recently. Got there early so our room was not ready. Left a cell to call when we could check in. Drove around Gville for a while and killed time at Haywood Mall. Went back a couple of hours later and our room was ready but no one called. Get to the room and the entry light didn't work/bulb was out. No trash can in the bathroom, missing body wash canister in the tub/shower. We ran into someone from the Housekeeping staff and told her about the missing trash can, bodywash, and the light. Those things were resolved when we got back to the room. In addition, there was loose tile in the bathroom near the floor, mismatched and worn towels (wash cloth had strings hanging from it and bath towels were different sizes). Very loud AC unit kept waking me up during the night. Also, they charge $15/person for a breakfast buffet and $3.50 for just coffee. Although I didn't see what was being served, based on the small set up, it seemed smaller/less options than the breakfast buffet you would get at a Holiday Inn Express for free. The only positive things about our stay were the location, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good. Noticed there were shipping containers in the side parking lot. Maybe getting ready for a reno? But as is, would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone going to Gville.
