The views of downtown Greenville were amazing! They have a seating area and several seats for regular seating. Our waitress was helpful and definitely checked for us to make sure everything was good. The nachos were so good and even divided between 2 people was more than enough, I am sure that 3 good eat these. I liked how there was an option for half nachos or the full plate we have. They had a few vegan options, so my daughter got the burger, she accidentally brought us a regular burger, but fortunately we got the mistake and they quickly got us the right one and took it from our bill. Definitely hope to make it back here, great dinner!
Chicora Alley is a portal to a small world that serves the most amazing food you cannot find in this world. It's a literal teleporting door that takes you away from Earth. There is no food that tastes as amazing on earth as on the planet of Chicora Alley. Make yourself a favor and go through the Stargate and try the BBQ Nachos!!!! They will make you beat the person next to you and scream! The hush puppies make you pant like a puppy for more. The soft warm dough inside the fried crust dipped in this honey butter.... My Lord, I'm writing this criticism!
Most likely the best crab cake I've ever had. Great people, dog friendly, strange, but I love it. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, of course the chicken ridge I got was great. My wife ordered the Ruck chicken and the Ruck grouper she got mistaken was ok, but a little fishy. Good place and beautiful atmosphere.
Lawd have mercy Chicora Alley not disappointed! This very inconceivable restaurant has a skillful staff of chefs that you should not miss. We started with the Pimento cheese, which was lovely spicy spicy and was served with chips that can be ignored because you want the warm Pita bread under the chips. Next was the crab cake appetizer. They were served medium-sized and over a cream sauce and met the place. Guys of the duck you don't want to miss is the idiot plate. We went with the grouper and never looked back. This was Ruck grouper served over a bed of rice and black beans with fried plantains and mango to temperature the spices. We would recommend taking a cloverex for the spices, but it was perfect and just what you expect when ordering Ruck. Next, a big call for Emily is our server that she perfectly managed our table and worked all tables and was also our hostess. It was very pleasant, quickly delivered all our foods and overall had a great positive impact on our experience. And finally, because at the time of this post I am in a boat, post foot surgery there is a large staircase to reach the entrance; but they have a nice ramp available if you need help. Give them 5 stars for food and service and highly recommended!
This restaurant is located on the second floor of a downtown building, not easily found by passersby. We discovered it on Google and were pleasantly surprised once we made our way up the narrow staircase behind what appeared to be leading to upstairs apartments. The restaurant offers a unique fusion of Mexican and Thai cuisine, with a menu that caught our attention. I decided to try the Black Angus Brisket Burrito, despite my initial skepticism about the unusual ingredients like spinach, sweet potato, and mushrooms. However, it turned out to be delicious! We also tried the six layer dip, fries with pickle and jalapeno appetizers, which tasted fresh and not greasy like typical deep-fried food. The portions were generous, with a half portion of nachos easily satisfying two people. Overall, we enjoyed the meal but advise others to be prepared for a bit of a hunt to find it.
