Bates House Of Turkey - Greenville

I came across a billboard for this restaurant and decided to stop in for lunch. I ordered the turkey dinner, which came with a baked sweet potato and green beans, plus I treated myself to coconut cream pie for dessert. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the turkey, dressing, and gravy; all three were bland and barely warm. On the other hand, the sweet potato and green beans were steaming hot and flavorful. The pie, however, was excellent. It's a shame that the main attractions of the meal fell short. On a positive note, the restaurant was clean and conveniently located.

We have been fans of this restaurant for years, but our visit on October 15th was quite disappointing. The staff at the counter were unfriendly, and we ended up waiting a long time for our food. We noticed that other customers who arrived after us were being served before we were. When we inquired at the counter, the staff were not apologetic; they simply blamed the kitchen for losing our order. When our food finally arrived, it was decent but rather bland, and the Diet Dr. Pepper was mostly syrupy.

We make a point to stop here nearly every time we travel down I-65 to the beach. Every dish and sandwich is prepared fresh to order. If you're a turkey lover, this place is a must-visit!

This place is really something special, with a great backstory, best turkey I ever had! Definitely check this place out!

We had the turkey club. The turkey was very tasty and we enjoyed the sandwich. The potato salad is good. There were a lot of folks having their lunch. Call OK
