The W On Elm - Greensboro

I was hesitant to follow through with this reservation due to a number of bad reviews... but I did follow through and dinner was fantastic. Service was impeccable. The ambiance was fantastic. An they had jazz playing in the background... very nice indeed. I had the burger and fries with a deviled egg appetizer and my date had the simple spaghetti. All was prepared well and we brought a bit home with us. Very nice and I plan to go back again.

Not a good night at the W. They seemed to be short on staff. Took nearly 30 minutes just to get our drink orders in. We had allowed ourselves 1.5 hours for a pre-show dinner and found ourselves having to eat our food quickly to be sure to make our show. And when the food did come it was ice-cold. Won't be back anytime soon.

-Over cooked crab dip to start -Chips tasted very stale and as if they had been under a heater for hours, same as crab dip -Spaghetti was room temperature, no garlic bread rolls and dip as indicated on menu; 2 rolls provided were freezer rolls and were still cold on inside and came with wrapped butter as if we were at a cafeteria -Overall experience was poor -Haven't heard ANY good reviews on this place yet but thought we would try to see if things had turned around -Don't plan to return

So great- waiter was kind the menu had something for all taste buds! Great for parties also!

Made a reservation for 8pm. Arrived on time and there was no hostess. The one employee was trying to great customers, clear tables, fill up water glasses, etc. Would definitely recommend hiring more staff. We didn't get seated until after 8:30pm, then waited 10 mins and never saw a real waiter. Noticed that people who got seated around 8pm did not have food yet so we left. Very slow service so might want to allot at least 3 hours if you want to eat here. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and do not plan on returning.
