Unfortunately, he is not accustomed to spicy food as he is not from Sichuan province. I had planned to suggest the "tri-pepper chicken" from the online menu, as it did not have any chili peppers listed next to it. However, when we arrived and saw that there were three chili peppers next to the dish on the in-person menu, indicating it was quite spicy, I was taken aback. I asked our server if the spice level could be adjusted, but he said it could not. I then inquired about other authentic non-spicy dishes, but was told there were none available. To make matters worse, my friend noticed that the server rolled his eyes after taking our order. This left us with a negative impression. Despite the delicious food, we do not plan on returning to this restaurant due to the poor service. When we left, the server did not acknowledge us or thank us for dining at the restaurant.
Greensboro is my favorite spot for enjoying Chinese food either for takeout or dining in.
Pretty good! Pork soup dumplings were juicy and the sauce that came with it was fantastic. Veggie lo mein was pretty good. Just a typical lo mein and I would get it again. Also got that scallion beef. Very good. A little sweet but nothing a bit of soy sauce can’t fix to balance it out. Not a big fan of the white rice. It wasn’t sticky and it was a little underdone in my opinion. Didn’t reheat well at all so I’ll probably get fried rice next time! Very pleasant experience and will be returning. ?
As someone who’s been eating Chinese food in the triad for 15 years, this is the best I’ve had thus far. The food felt very light and didn’t leave me feeling heavy and guilty after. I ordered on Uber eats so i can’t speak to the service or atmosphere. I ordered the house special fried rice, moo goo gai pan, and a large wonton soup. The moo goo gai pan was phenomenal. The fried rice had just a few clusters of hard rice, meaning it is a bit old but it still tasted great. The wontons themselves had an ok flavor, but the broth had no flavor at all. It tasted like hot water, but the broth was extremely dark in color, so I’m not sure what happened there. I also wish there had been more wontons. There was only 4, so most of the container was the flavorless broth. The rice clusters and lack of flavor in the wonton soup are the reasons for only giving 4 stars. Despite their defaults, I would be willing to give them another shot, and i probably will. edited to add, i have ordered the moo goo gai pan multiple times after this review, and every single time it has been phenomenal. Today i also tried the steamed pork soup dumplings (they are the only place in Gboro with soup dumplings) and they are a must have!! Seriously to DIE for. Updated my review to 5 stars. Love this place.
Excellent authentic Sichuan cooking. Go to Panda Express or some other generic Chinese place for General Tso's or Orange Chicken (American food) and try the something new and delicious when you come here.
