Their chefs put out just outstanding food and always consistent in taste and presentation. This location was rebuilt about 6 years ago and is well maintained and staff are always pleasant and efficient. We relocated out of Greensboro NC about 4 years ago; whenever back in Greensboro area, always stop and never disappointed . All store owners and managers should make a point to see how this location operates and food tastes. Cannot say all Golden Corral restaurants are created equal, we always try them but disappointed on a consistent basis, not the case in Greensboro.
This is one of my favorite places. I enjoy meeting my dispersed and busy family at the Golden Carrol on Wendover Avenue a few times a year. I like the early morning traffic less experience with fresh food and friendly service. Everyone enjoys the moments. Looking forward to the next gathering.
Senior citizens get a dollar off, this is a well kept Golden Corral. Most everything you put on your plate at lunch (when I usually go) is first class. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fried chicken, always just wonderful. And such good mashed potatoes, taste so real like your grandmother was doing the cooking back there somewhere. I hardly ever eat desserts, but the carrot cake is my FAVORITE. This is a fine example of what a Golden Corral should be.
We visited this Golden Corral location when my kids could not make up their mind of what they want to eat. It is located in the Wendover area which is one of the busiest places on a Saturday evening. So traffic is pretty busy. Golden Corral at Wendover was a clean place. It looked like it was renovated recently because all the interior decor looked fairly new. It has plenty of seating and we found ourselves a table pretty quick. This location was maintained well. Being a buffet place one will find a few dirty tables here and there but they were all in the process of being cleaned. The staff was good and welcoming. The food was good however compared with my previous experience.....there were less choices. Now I'm comparing it to when I last went 10-12 years ago.....ha ha ha ha. I remember very well that there were rows and rows of food. But given the cost and the way the economy is now....the food choices were good. Being at a location right beside Walmart and Sams....this place got quite a lot of foot traffic. There is plenty of parking however I found the parking spots smaller than average. It sure did fit my truck but it was a little tight with the other cars beside it. Would recommend to go there during weekdays rather than weekends.
I came here at 8:05am on a Monday to get breakfast with a friend. I’ve been living in Greensboro since 2015 and this was my first time going to this Golden Corral, which is crazy, now that I think about it. The interior is beautiful. The restaurant itself was clean. It wasn’t busy at all. I noticed maybe 2-3 tables with customers in it. It was a little over $20 for the both of us. We sat where were wanted to. Our waitress was “Sunshine”. She was friendly. With it being buffet, their safety precautions include giving you a glove and a new plate each time you visit, which is pretty cool. There is a person by the plates waiting. There was one buffet area that was empty but the rest was filled. Most of the items seemed fresh. The pancakes were a little over cooked, but good. The bacon was PERFECT, omg. They put out new eggs as I was about to get what was there, which was nice. The cinnamon rolls were tasty. I wasn’t a fan of their biscuits. Overall, it was a good breakfast. I would return. They do have the nutritional facts listed on the glass over the food, but that doesn’t really help where there’s nothing to measure or portion it, lol. However, it’s nice to know if someone wanted to guess.
