Giovanni's Restaurant - Greensboro

Please please don't waste your money here!! I ordered the Zuppa and this is the runny entree that I was served. Tasteless and no flavor at all. My server took it back to the kitchen, he returned and said the cook was going to thicken the sauce for me. The mussels smelled so strong. My server then asked if I wanted another dish, he took it back to the kitchen and returned with it in a to go box. He was told to tell me that I could have another entree on the house but I still had to pay for this one. No problem (because it was one of their most expensive dishes)! Ha I don't mind paying, I wouldn't have ordered it if I couldn't afford it! However the 2nd entree lacked flavor as well. Cody and Lamar were both awesome servers!

I ordered take out. A spaghetti carbonara, which came with a salad and they also gave me about 4-5 pieces of bread. Good portions and good flavor. I am glad the salad dressing came on the side because I thought it was pretty strong vinegar flavor and oily. (It?s the house Italian vinaigrette, but not my favorite of dressings like this) I thought the price was a little high and the staff wasn?t decently friendly when I arrived for my order. Also beautiful decor and tables inside. Would consider going back and ordering at the restaurant but would also try other places in the area.

Wow! We had an amazing experience. As a native NJ Italian I had high expectations for an Italian place in the middles of NC and it lived up to it. We had fried zucchini with marinara, the warm bread was great and our server Brian even made my partner some garlic bread just for her. I had veal which was perfectly cooked and the chicken Florentine was seasoned with fresh parsley and you could taste the mushrooms in every bite. Dessert was equally good, and probably one of the best tiramisu I have ever had! We essentially had a 4 course meal for less then $150. Will totally be back again!

Inside too dark to see while eating, so sketchy. Loud speakers playing (at the same time) as live singing (the songs were completely different). The restaurant was empty which caught me and my friend off guard given the outside appearance of the restaurant seemed nice. Server reported things are slow all the time, wonder why. Even though no one else was in the restaurant we waited forever for food that was not worth the wait or cost. Will not be back, do not recommend.

This restaurant should be 40% cheaper for what it offers. Food taste was good but not great. Parking was tight even on a not so busy night. Service was slow and the order was inaccurate. We did not receive the sides that we ordered accurately, and the the food was cold by the time it hit our table. I am not very picky when it comes to these things, but I had to send it back for reheating. The server was attentive though. She was very apologetic about all of this. In my opinion, this is a good restaurant but not so good to justify approaching $30 for per entrée.
