I had jerk chicken and jerk oxtail in which I shared with my girlfriend which came with rice and cabbage on both the plates. Everything on that plate was phenomenal. I can't wait to go back to try some of the other dishes they offer here. Service was great and the place was nice and clean. Affordable prices and just a wonderful eating experience.
This is the best place I have eaten in this area. The prices are great and the food is even better. If you are looking for something different, come here with a group of friends, order a little of everything and share. No one will walk away hungry.

Happy GSO has Da Reggae Cafe!. {Reposting because somehow Urbanspoon posted a review for a different restaurant under this title...odd}<br/ <br/ We went for lunch on a Saturday. The location is the end spot in a strip mall. The strip mall itself looks a little dingy but this restaurant is definitely not. The walls are painted brightly yellow in fine Jamaican tradition and the place is neat and clean. The sanitation rating is 98.5. <br/ <br/ When we arrived, we were the only patrons. Our greeting was cordial though not exuberant. We were directed to sit wherever we liked and our server followed right behind with menus. We placed our drinks order with her but be advised neither sweet or unsweet tea is available. Instead you have choices that include Pepsi products and other soft drinks including Ting which is citrusy grapefruit soda. I haven 't seen anywhere else in GSO. Alcoholic options are not available. <br/ <br/ While not hugely extensive, I think they did a very good job of including a good variety of Caribbean choices on the menu. Along with appetizer, soup and salad options, you get chicken, beef, pork, goat and seafood choices. I was very happy to see Escoveitched Fish in this case Red Snapper on the menu! Escoveitched Fish is prepared with spices and vinegar where the fish marinates in the vinegar sauce after cooking. Also, on a table tent, they advertised conch fritters. I became addicted to these things while on a trip to Bermuda so was stoked to see them available here. <br/ <br/ Since this was our first visit, I had to go with the Jerk Chicken the benchmark of Caribbean food. The plate comes with cabbage, a choice of rice and peas red beans to us 'Mericans or white rice and a couple fried plantain slices $8.5 . My girlfriend decided go with the jerk chicken wings 6 for $4 and the conch fritters $5 . <br/ <br/ The fritters came out first. Maybe my expectations were jaded by memories of eating them on Bermudian patios, but we were both slightly disappointed in them. That 's not to say they were bad by any means...just not what we expected. The jerk wings though were excellent. Baked instead of deep fried, they really captured the jerk seasoning well. She said they were as close to 5 star wings she 's had in a long time. My jerk chicken plate was also very good and the serving portion was more than I can finish. The chicken itself was very juicy and nicely seasoned. It wasn 't overly spicy but the side of jerk sauce definitely brought it up a notch. I also really like the cabbage which was a nice blend of spice and sweet. The rice and peas were good but fairly typical. The menu didn 't mention the plantains so what a nice little bonus as their starchy sweet flavor was a perfect mini dessert. Our lunch with tip came to about $24. <br/ <br/ As we enjoyed our lunch, two other groups came in and our service definitely became more of the 'no worries, mon ' experience you 'd expect. <br/ <br/ Food: 7/10; Service: 7/10; Value: 7/10; Atmosphere 8/10
I had the jerk goat dish and was blown away by the taste. They also have many drinks you can't find anywhere else. Great place for lunch.
