A friend and I took another buddy out for a birthday sushi dinner, and surprisingly, it was my first time visiting this place despite having tried many other local sushi restaurants. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it definitely surpassed my expectations. The restaurant is larger than I anticipated, featuring several teppanyaki tables, which I didn’t realize they had. However, our focus was on sushi, so we headed straight to the sushi bar. Having been to numerous sushi bars, I consider myself quite familiar with sushi menus, but this one really impressed me. The variety is immense! It's hard to adequately describe the menu, but you'll find countless options – whether you're looking for nigiri, sashimi, rolls, cooked items, raw selections, or combo plates. This extensive range is great for catering to different tastes, but it could also be a bit overwhelming for someone new to sushi. In terms of flavor, I was really pleased with everything we ordered, especially the spicy tuna nigiri. We didn't try a wide range of dishes since my two friends are still getting accustomed to sushi, but everything we had was delicious. I've promised to bring my girlfriend here next time, and we're excited to explore more of the menu. A nice perk is that for just $1, you can get fresh wasabi, which is a rare find. One minor disappointment was that miso soup or salad wasn’t included with our selections; they are available but only with combo plates. The service was outstanding! I learned that the owner, who is Japanese, is committed to making this the only sushi bar in Greensboro owned by Japanese proprietors. She kept us entertained and laughing throughout our meal. Plus, when she discovered we were celebrating a birthday, she carved a pineapple into a Hawaiian-style canoe for our dessert at no extra charge. In terms of value, the prices are about standard for a sushi bar, if not slightly better. For the three of us, with a couple of rounds of beer each, our total came to $83, and we really enjoyed our meal. I will definitely be returning, and I'll provide an update on my next visit! **Food: 9/10, Service: 10/10, Value: 8/10, Atmosphere: 7/10**
I’ve been visiting this restaurant for years, and the sushi has consistently been fresh and exceptional.
I've been coming here since I was a kid. The food is fantastic, and the staff is wonderful. The owners are also incredibly friendly. I’m just adding a bit more to fill the space!
Best hibachi ever ! With out a doubt.
