Superchook - Greater Dandenong

This is the best charcoal chicken I've ever had! Highly recommend trying it. The chips, chicken salt, and juicy chicken were amazing. I couldn't believe I finished a half chicken and chips in one sitting without being high. Just a warning, it's extremely addictive. If you're out drinking like me, make sure to get an Uber because the police are frequently at this place. This review was written 6 months ago.

Love, Love, Love Superchook! I always wanted to have great chicken and chips but would always come back disappointed. Reasons ranged from half-cooked, overcooked, stale, dodgy gravy, upset stomach and so forth.An iconic Australian favorite, I was getting frustrated till my 85 year old neighbour told me to try Superchook. He absolutely swore on it being the best chicken and chips he had tasted and he also said that their salads were fresh.I went to get a supersized chicken and chips meal for the family and was not disappointed. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised.The chicken was cooked just right, the chips were not oily and the gravy was fresh and hot.  Reasonably priced, this is one place you must try chicken and chips if you live anywhere close to a 1000 kms from this shop.  Even if you wre to fly in for this simple Aussie favorite, you would have had one of the best chicken and chips meal you would find in Australia.

I never miss out on the classic quarter chicken special at this restaurant on Saturdays. If you're craving the best chicken and chips, look no further. Superchook lives up to its name for a reason.

Legit have the softest spot for this place as I'd first had this in 2001 as a kid coming home from Nazareth college. I'd get a 1/4 chicken combo after school and back then it was probably like 3 bucks or something? Many great memories and cans of solo had here as a kid. Especially those school holidays with ma skateboard! <br/ <br/ Not gonna lie some stuff here isn't all that great but it's a good joint for the kids, and the mAc is super greasy and I still eat it once in a while no joke. <br/ <br/ Super chook can have my wife any day of week ;
