We went here after we found it on the internet , you walk in and reminds you of a chinese shop from the 80s , was kind of nice , the owner came out very friendly and nice , fantastic man , got the pok , friedrice , beef , went home , absolutley loveley food , will be going back many times

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and the restaurant very clean with a lovely atmosphere. It is a little tucked away in a small shopping strip in Doveton Avenue, Doveton probably a 5-10 minute walk up from the Atura Hotel.

We've been lucky to have Golden Swan in our neighbourhood for over ten years, although the family-run restaurant has been operating for much longer. Even those further flung will travel 'back' to Dovey for John and Bee's food.The menu is extensive and John's wok(s) genuinely recall flavours of Hong Kong. His Mongolian sauce, for example, is smoky, thick and sweet... The meat is good quality; expertly prepared and veg dishes are always fresh and cooked perfectly.Pricing hasn't changed much in those ten years, either. Meals are generous and affordable... And leftovers next day taste equally good. Even the prawn crackers remain delightful!As for decor, if that matters, you should love it. Authentic tastes wonderful.
