Hubby’s chicken salad was served on a cracked wooden board and was literally a single chicken breast chopped up – so not a good portion at all. The salad itself was flat and dead. My mussel pot was bland with no wine or garlic and the bread therefore over-powered the taste of the mussel pot. Service was very slow and the wait staff not aware of items on the menu or the difference between alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. The drinks were good. The manageress/owner never greeted or came around to find out if everything was okay. When we were paying she stood behind the cashier and didn’t even bother to acknowledge our presence. The entire establishment is hyped, but the food and service is mediocre. With the location of the restaurants, neighboring farms and produce, you would expect the chef to use local produce and have meals and flavors that reflect the surrounds, but this is more food from the 80s.
My husband had to leave this place hungry after he found a piece of plastic bag in his dish and the staff didn’t care about it. My food was tasteless and I ate it only because I was very hungry. To our surprise they tried to charge us for the plastic filled dish. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
