It’s essentially a 15’ x 20’ wooden structure that has been transformed into a wet bar, while at the other end, there’s a small stage for performers. The area is about 50’ by 100’ and has a rustic vibe with its stone surroundings. It's a great setting on pleasant evenings, which is typically the case in Utah. Most performances kick off at 9:30 PM, after the sun sets behind the mountains, making for a cool and comfortable atmosphere. A protective fence around the area helps block out the wind on breezy nights. There’s something uniquely appealing about enjoying live music outdoors in such a picturesque setting. The sound equipment seemed to be well-suited for the venue. Parking is ample for the crowd size, and there are two clean portable restrooms available. Alcohol is served at the bar, so be prepared for a 21-and-over age restriction. Note: IDs are checked at the gate, so make sure to bring a valid form of identification, or you might be turned away—definitely not a fun experience given how isolated this place is! There is typically a cover charge of $10 per person for live performances, and there's a gravel area in front of the stage for dancing if the music inspires you. Some seating is available, with basic terrace tables and chairs that can accommodate around 50 to 75 people. If you're feeling competitive, you might also enjoy a game of cornhole with the locals near the dance area.
The restaurant is quite a distance away, about a mile and a half down some gravel roads. You need to bring your own parking arrangements, and they offer water to the bands. They fill your cup with ice and then add a little water, using the same process for a Coke. The total cost for both drinks was $4.00. I don't plan on returning.
The experience at this place was outrageous. I went there as a photographer to take pictures for a friend who was performing at the amphitheater. When my wife and I arrived, they stopped us at the entrance and asked for our IDs. We understood that it was a bar marketed as an amphitheater, but my wife didn’t have her ID with her. The owner was called, and he was completely condescending towards my wife. We expected to enjoy a concert, not just go to a bar. We explained that we didn’t plan to drink, and they could have easily let us in without any issue. This whole situation was unnecessary.
Haven't been there for a few years... but this place is awsome
A peaceful out of the way watering hole. With Kind folks and a unique location this wont disappoint. If you want a change of scenery and old fashion hospitality pay Brazen a visit.
