La Gondola - Grangemouth

I’ve used this place for a while now just in a Friday for lunch as i don’t live in the area I would say it’s went down hill. Food is either half cooked or looks like it’s been sitting for a week. The chips a had today were rotten! I’ve always thought it was expensive but actually checked today compared to where i live their suppers are £2 more than a really good chippy back home. £2 sorry your food certainly doesn’t justify that! And would it really kill ur staff to smile if ur that miserable working in a chippy find somewhere else. Folk want a happy face wen they are getting their treat. I don’t usually put up reviews but had to get this off my chest!

Got a delivery tonight (2 mins in the car) and what a regret that was!! 2 fish suppers were very soggy, chips were under cooked. Will definitely not be back! Went down hill big time!!!

I visited this restaurant for the first time since it relocated. The interior is really nice and the seating area is comfortable. I ordered a fish and chips meal, but was disappointed with the soggy batter on the fish which did not taste good. The chips were okay and I ended up enjoying them in a sandwich. The dining experience was average, with the price per person falling between £10-20. The food quality was a 2 out of 5, while the service received a 4 out of 5 and the atmosphere a 2 out of 5.

This is a great chip shop with a wide selection and it is the only one open in Falkirk/Grangemouth on Mondays. The staff are friendly and helpful.
