The Heritage - Grand Rapids

The chairs are very uncomfortable, especially as we had a dinner reservation and were there for over 2 hours. The menu was not available on the website before, so we were not aware that it was a package. We got a $25 discount because the food took so long to get out what was nice. Also it was strange that the charcuterie board only came with 3 crackers?

This was our first time in participation, which also coincided with their first night open of the semester, and the service was top notch and high-end restaurant quality. We enjoyed the choice of music and the view of the city centre. For our first course the charcuterie was merciful and the caramelized pear salad was perfect as and opening act. Next came the main course - a lamb rib with a mint marinade that perfectly combined and an umami rich bowl mushroom risotto through roasted Morels on the summit. The finale was brought out, two beautifully decorated deserts - a chocolate apricot cake and the whimsical strawberry cake I've ever seen. All in all, I would recommend a rewarding experience to everyone.

It is always a special treat to eat the heritage and to be part of the learning experience.
