Small Cakes Grand Rapids

During our visit to the USA from Ontario, we stopped in Grand Rapids for lunch and some dessert. While exploring, we came across SmallCakes and thought it was worth a try. I have to say, their cupcakes and ice creams were incredibly delicious—way beyond my expectations! We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who prioritize hygiene and ethics at their shop. We were so impressed that we decided to preorder three dozen cupcakes to take back to Canada with us. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for fresh, homemade cupcakes!

Today, I enjoyed some ice cream at Small Cakes, and it was delightful! I decided to pair my ice cream with two cupcakes and a tub of flavors. To start with, their ice cream is incredibly rich and smooth—exactly what I wanted and more. I sampled the red velvet and milk chocolate ice cream, along with their birthday cake cupcake and wedding cake cupcake. I can’t wait to return! Additionally, the owner and her husband provide exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this place; you will not be disappointed!

This is the coziest spot in the Knapp area. You absolutely have to try one of their delicious freshly baked treats from the morning. This cupcakery also takes great orders for office meetings, church events, weddings, and graduation parties. Personally, I still enjoy the tasty red velvet ice cream for a little indulgence that won't linger in my freezer at home, and our dogs adore the pup cakes. I originally went to try her ice cream, but tried her red velvet and cookies and cream cupcakes. The red velvet was amazing. It was moist and frosting complimented the cake. I liked the cookies and cream not only because of freezing. It tastes like pure sugar, but gives 5 stars as the owner has excellent customer service and is so welcoming!

This shop just opened up 3 days ago and although this is my first visit, I cannot wait to return. I ordered a raspberry sorbet that was so smooth and “creamy”! It was wonderful. The owner and his wife were here and they were very friendly and provided great information on the ingredients used. I will be back to try the cupcakes soon!
