We came back for dinner again the following evening to enjoy the Tuesday special: manicotti. It was delicious! On our next visit, I tried the linguine carbonara, which was very good—trust me, a half portion is more than enough. My wife had a personal-sized pizza featuring their award-winning "Taste of Grand Rapids," which comes with a blend of various ethnic spices and is very enjoyable! I'm sorry I was too hungry to take any photos! On December 28, 2023, we returned yet again and sat at the bar with some wine. I had the special: baked walleye served with fettuccine alfredo and spinach, along with a salad and garlic bread. Everything was excellent! We shared a lemon cello gelato for dessert, which was yummy! They serve walleye during Lent as well. The atmosphere is always comfortable and friendly, making it feel just like home.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to find authentic Italian cuisine these days, but this restaurant really delivers. Their pizzas and subs are outstanding, and my husband is particularly fond of their veal parmesan.
The food and catering service were exceptional! The desserts were delightful, and the salad and garlic bread were fantastic as well. The manicotti was perfect for our large gathering!
We initially visited Salvatore's to try the pizza based on a friend's recommendation. We loved the pizza and described it as "better than..."
