It was really disappointing and quite bland. The meat and vegetables didn’t taste fresh at all; they seemed old, which is quite concerning. I'm worried I might get sick after eating this. As for the fried rice, it wasn't even properly fried. Overall, it felt like a complete waste of money.
The food was truly delicious, and there was a genuine sense of warmth and care typical of Chinese hospitality! They offered a great selection of vegan options, which was fantastic for an omnivorous restaurant. Even my personal favorites, the lo mein and veggie fried rice, were vegan, which was a pleasant surprise since they're usually made with egg. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick and efficient. I’ll definitely be coming back!
The Chinese food here is truly outstanding—high quality and reasonably priced, all in a fantastic neighborhood! I've dined here over ten times and have consistently enjoyed both the food and the friendly service each visit.
Oh no. The crab rangoons had an overwhelming taste of powdered sugar. I ordered the bourbon chicken, but there was nothing bourbon about it. It came with a sickly sweet fake honey glaze, lacked any seasoning, and included raw carrots. All of this for $16. When you hear someone raving about this place, definitely give them a skeptical look. It's overpriced for such low-quality food.
I am always in the mood for Chinese takeout. Red Bowl is pretty good. Have ordered takeout from here 3 or so times within the past year. Here are my takeaways: orange chicken is solid good meat to breading ratio and has a good flavor with a bit of spice. Sesame chicken has great flavor, not too sweet. Fried rice isn't my favorite I like the larger chunks of onion but there is a bit of old pan flavor to the rice, if that makes sense... I typically opt for white rice but the fried isn't the worst I've had. Rangoon is above average comparatively for GR good amount of crab cheese filling and the flavor is great. Overall, 4 stars. If the fried rice was better I would have given 5. It's your standard Chinese takeout joint with competitive pricing (lunch special under $10.50).
