In my opinion, this is the best Indian food in Topeka. I particularly love the samosas and the lunchtime Thali samplers. They are absolutely delicious! Food: 5/5
I visited this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I asked for his favorite dishes and ended up trying them all: Garlic Naan, Samosas, Chicken Biryani, Prawn Vindaloo, and Goat Vindaloo. Each dish was flavorful and packed with spice. I appreciated that you can customize the spice level to your preference—I found a level 5 to be just right! I definitely plan to return to explore more of their menu. If you're considering ordering samosas for two, do yourself a favor and get two orders; you'll want an extra after tasting the first! The samosas had a flaky crust and a soft, fluffy interior—absolutely delicious!
I have some pretty high standards for Indian food thanks to my Indian coworkers. I have to say Pal's does a great job and delivering delicious food at a fair price in a timely manner. They also have some relatively authentic options and a diverse selection of protein. My go-to for Indian food is goat but it's hard to find places that sell goat in West Michigan. I'm glad to see that Pal's offers goat in a wide variety of options. If you're new to Indian food I'd recommend getting the butter chicken, it's creamy, not too sweet, and delicious. I personally recommend their saag goat, that is my favorite dish alongside the methi goat. Methi is a little like butter curry but more spices and a more complex flavor. Saag is a spinach based curry with a subtle cumin undertone. All of those are great options. And of course, be careful how spicy you ask for, I usually do 7 out of 10 which is hot but not so hot that you're nose is runny. 10/10 will put tears in your eyes. Enjoy :
Ordered via Uber eats and the order arrived quickly. I love Indian food and make it myself at home but the chicken tikka masala looked as if the chicken was either deli slicked chicken or canned chicken and not fresh, it was all uniform thin cut pieces and not like any tikka I have ever had before. The sauce was separating and not very good and the rice was all stuck together in hard pieces like it was old rice) I hope I don’t get sick. I ordered a samosa and those were very good. I can’t recommend this place, I wish I could.
