North East Deli Matt's Gyro

The gyro was excellent, and the grand opening prices were quite appealing. I especially loved the garlic flavor and that the pita bread was warmed up. The hummus was decent but not remarkable. The service was a bit slow, as there was only one worker and a barbecue. I would like to return and try the cakes; they had options with meat, cheese, and spinach.

My wife and I heard great things about the new Gyro Square located at the corner of Fuller and Knapp, so we decided to check it out. It definitely lived up to the hype! We both ordered the #6 (Beef Gyro), and it was fantastic! Without a doubt, it's the best gyro you can find in Grand Rapids. Everything— from the pita, meat, and vegetables to the garlic sauce and tzatziki— was top quality! The flavors were incredible, and the portion sizes were very generous. The customer service was excellent as well! Matt was extremely friendly and prepared everything fresh right in front of us. You definitely need to go and try it for yourself! You won’t regret it! One ordered and was basically told by Matt No, you should get the Lamb Circle. That was absolutely the right decision. Very friendly and welcoming. Always open to give recommendations in a humorous way and very carefully with everything he does. Amazing every time I'm gone.

Best place for Gyro's (and salads) around! Matt's garlic sauce is amazing and the portion size is great! I've tried one of everything and have yet to be disappointed. Matt is friendly and one of the nicest, if not the nicest, person you will meet!
