Bridge Street Market - Grand Rapids

One day, I met a staff member named Matthew while looking for an item, and now chatting with him has become my favorite part of visiting. He has such a warm personality, a great sense of humor, and really knows his stuff. Matthew is an excellent representative of this store and truly deserves some recognition. You're the best, Matthew B!

I visit this store frequently, around twice a week. The produce is consistently fresh and of great quality. They offer a wide variety of gluten-free and dairy-free options, which is fantastic for someone like me with dietary restrictions. Shopping here gives me the sense of supporting the local community. As an aside, the photo might seem random, but my husband is a huge fan of the chocolate milk they sell!

Charming market! It’s essentially a Meijer but with healthier choices. I really appreciate that they require customers to bring their own bags to help reduce plastic waste. It feels great to know I'm contributing to both the environment and my health while shopping there. They also appear to be supportive of the homeless community, which is an attitude that many businesses in Grand Rapids seem to lack. There's a bottle exchange, which is a nice touch, but the downside is that you can’t redeem pop can coupons there; this feels a bit classist to me, although I can't definitively prove that. Overall, it's a great place!

The staff appeared very friendly, and the store itself was exceptionally clean. There are so many options and exciting brands to choose from! I'm a big fan of grocery stores, and this one has quickly become one of my favorites. I even met the owner of Mama’s Makings chicken salad while she was stocking her products and offering samples. She was incredibly friendly, and I have to say, it was the most delicious and flavorful chicken salad I've ever tasted!

My experience was disappointing. I had a coupon from the manufacturer that I tried to use, but the machine wouldn't accept it. The person I assumed was the manager seemed indifferent and didn't make any effort to help. While I did receive the correct product, he didn’t bother to check which products were eligible for the coupon. He simply told me that if the machine didn't accept it, I couldn't use it.
