Devil's Kitchen Maverick

Devil's Kitchen is a stunning contemporary restaurant with breathtaking views. It's a shame there aren't more rooftop restaurants in the Grand Valley. While it's on the pricier side, the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We had to relocate from the patio to the bar area due to rain, which was a bit too noisy for our liking. We usually prefer quieter restaurants where we can enjoy a conversation, but overall we were quite pleased with our experience.

We arrived promptly for our reservation in the main dining room, but were instead seated in the bar area at a high-top table. Our drink orders took a while to be fulfilled, but were delicious. When we mentioned that the food service seemed slow, we were informed that the kitchen was backed up. After waiting for an hour and watching others who arrived after us get served, we chose to leave. This outing, my first since surgery, was a major letdown.

I was really disappointed in our visit. We have been here before and had a good experience so we brought my in-laws when they came into town to visit and everything was sort of mid. The waitress didn’t check on us very often. The food wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t worth the amount of money I paid for it. Disappointed and hopefully won’t happen again. If I have another experience like that, I probably wouldn’t go back ever again. The only reason I’m considering going back is because I’ve had better experiences in the past. 

Service was questionable! Food was cold, and not that tasty. Drinks were excellent. Price was not worth it! View was nice
