626 on Rood - Grand Junction

My wife and I have looked GJ over for a decent meal with no luck. We found this spot and fell in love. There food is top notch and they offer a wonderful buy the glass wine list. Will be back many times to come!

This cozy restaurant had really nice romantic ambiance! They even accommodated a last minute extra guest and pushed the time of our reservation back. A friend had suggested this restaurant so I took my best friend for her birthday, which the restaurant helped to organize a personalized happy birthday menu with her name ending with sparklers on her truffles at the end of the night! We ordered the fried calamari with very interesting sauces, fried oysters (was slightly disappointed there weren’t fresh oysters offered), roasted beet carpaccio (the sea salt served in a little bowl rather on a spoon would have been preferred), the Waygu burger and the squid ink pasta (with delicious gochujang sauce). Overall the presentation of each entree/plate was beautiful, and the waiter (Josh) was a delight and very helpful in making our decisions on our food journey here! The drinks were also a smash and very delicious!

I came here with a group of 8 people from CU Boulder (they were in town visiting and wanted to try a great restaurant . ; We had cocktails first (mine was very delicious and then for our appetizer a few of us shared a tomato, basil and mozzarella dish. Then, for the main meal I had an amazing grass fed beef burger with a great tasting salad on the side. I'm pretty sure I shared an order of fries on the side, but didn't get a photo. All of the food was cooked in a very refined manner, so that you really enjoy it. We were here for quite a while enjoying each others company. Great evening.

Amazing, just amazing! We truly enjoyed every morsel of each dish we ordered (calamari, charcuterie, and sage pasta), everything was delicious and flavorful. Thanks for such a memorable experience on NYE! When in Grand Junction, don't skip this gem, you won't be disappointed.

Every penny worth. the atmosphere, the personal, the eating, the weeping, the whole pointed notch. it was not my first dinner here and it will not be the last. they went beyond and beyond to make my one-year anniversary with my wife. the only problem with the night was that I had no great enough to order one of everything. Oh, I guess I just have to hurry and book a reservation for a return visit.
