Starfish - Grand Isle

Felt like an authentic place. The gumbo i had was ok. My travelling companion wasn't too thrilled with his fried seafood.

Get the onion rings. They are shoestring style and crispy just perfect. I liked the shrimp on bun as well I loved that I could taste the gulf.

Great service, great food and prices. It’s a little crowded feeling due to size of the building, but other than that it’s a great restaurant.

The food was horrible. Brown limp lettuce for a salad. The salad dressing (in a package) looked liked it came from a McDonalds Happy Meal. I asked for oil and vinegar; the vinegar WAS WATERED DOWN and tasteless. The venison tamales were obviously frozen; tasted like and werr likely mystery meat. The seafood was also frozen, not fresh, even though the restaurant is about 1/2 mile from the Gulf. I ate pickles. The prices were ridiculous- it cost us $63. f you want Sysco foods from a box and want to pay 3x the value of this food , this place is for you.

Very cool place to eat, the food was great! Service was good although very busy. The eating area is small and at the time very loud.
