Balz Sports - Grand Island

This is a casual sports bar with a lively atmosphere filled with numerous TVs. While the food is just average, the overall experience is fun and entertaining. The service was polite, though the staff seemed to be managing many tables at once.

I recently had lunch at this restaurant for the first time in several years, and it was still fantastic! The wings, especially the 911 flavor, were amazing as always. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful too.

However, my food was left sitting under the heat lamp for 10 minutes at 6:30 PM. The kitchen staff does call out orders when they’re ready, but she didn't seem engaged or interested in her job throughout the evening. A good bartender should show some personality and genuine interest to create a positive experience. I'm not sure if she was the regular bartender or not. For reference, my name is Charles Patrick Alvarez. I am familiar with Tiffany, Taylor, and Annabelle from BWW, and they always greet me with smiles and professionalism. They recognize my politeness and treat every customer with the same level of respect. Looks can take you only so far in the service industry. I won't give this place a one-star review because I believe it has potential. However, when I was ready to settle my bill, Rashel was nowhere to be found. When I finally got her attention, she was still unengaged. A simple "thank you for coming in" goes a long way, and it would have affected my tip, which was only $10 instead of $20 or $25. I'm not sure if I’ll return. It's disappointing.

Ate here every night I was in town. Good portion size, friendly staff, very fast food service. Very good place to watch sports, have a few drinks, and get some bar food. Haven't had a bad meal or service yet. I always stop here when I'm in town because Iknow I'll have a good experience.
