La Casita Del Pan - Granada

The food is decent. The sales lady is quite rude. She also doesn't give you your change back or at least tries to take advantage of your poor understanding of Spanish if you are a foreigner, so pay with your card!

I was in shock at the savage lady serving us. I was buying several boxes of sweets and i told her to serve the customer that only needed a quick item when she went balistic and started screeming lets go ,come on lets go. I was making a huge perchase and needed to select so many items for gifts. I cant excuse her behavior on any level. I was buying and did not want other custmers to be inconvenient, how she did not rwcognise this as an act of kindness is beyond me. I almost changwd my view of Granada after her behavior but it reminds me of the racist group and it must have been just that. I also think she ripped me off

Pionono is the traditional dessert of Granada and Casita del Pan makes them wonderfully. It's basically a soft sponge cake soaked in syrup, covered with a flan, rolled into a spiral, flipped on its side and toped with a brûléed egg creme. Pretty sure its a chain but we saw all the locals walking around with their signature pink packaging. Highly recommend trying this place for dessert. All deserts in Granada are a tiny bit pricey, and this one is very sweet. We shared one between 3 people.

If you want to pickup a coffee and croissant for 2 euros, this is the place. They are a small operation but all their goodies seem to be home made and super fresh.

La Casita del Pan is a personal favourite of mine. They do a croissant and coffee for 1€ which is hard to beat. This shop is right on Puentezuelas, so it's super easy to stop by for a quick snack before you continue your shopping.
