We were simply enjoying our drinks and having a good time, without causing any disturbance to others. It's important to note that, as the owner of a winery, discouraging alcohol consumption seems contradictory. When our designated driver, who was sober, asked for an explanation, the manager mentioned a recent death in the area (not on the premises, but in Grafton). One would expect the proprietor of this establishment to be prepared for such situations. Instead, we noticed you and your friends constantly observing our table, laughing, and having a good time. I have personally witnessed individuals who were truly intoxicated, and I must say that this group was far from that.We all respect people who try and run nice establishments but being judgmental for having a good time is not a reason to kick people out. From now on our annual friends trip to grafton will definitely not be celebrated at your establishment.
If you are wanting to bring a large family and put tables together DO NOT come here. We put two tables together and were told by a snarky worker to put them back. We couldn’t even move the table one foot to be out of the sun. When we asked why we couldn’t move them his response was “rules are rules”. If he would have been kinder and given us a better explanation, things would have been better.
We didn't eat as it was way 2 early, but the views were Fantastic. Wish the menu had more choices. Like a chicken breast dinner or steak. We just had drinks.
I've eaten here prior to the ski lift. It was good, views are great. The reason I'm giving 2 stars now is that if you are afraid of heights, you cannot eat at the restaurant. If you aren't afraid of heights, you can take the lift but probably not if it looks like it might rain. If it is raining you can take one of six gondolas, although you might be waiting for quite a while. The Gondolas can get very hot inside on warm days and I was told that when it's 90 or above they don't let anyone ride in them. I must assume that the owners invested so much in this structure that that is the reason you can no longer drive up. Apparently, though, if you are in a wheelchair and don't mind heights you can use the gondola to get up to the restaurant.
You have to take the sky lift to the top and bottom, $10 round trip. Very nice views overlooking the Mississippi River. No access for auto's at the top by Aries
