Teppan Mate - Grafton

What a pleasant surprise to discover this Japanese teppanyaki restaurant just across the road from the Quality Inn in Grafton! I enjoyed a delicious meal along with a few glasses of wine (thankfully, it's not BYO, which was convenient for me). The staff were incredibly friendly and courteous. After my experience, I felt compelled to write a review, as I truly enjoyed it and believe both travelers and locals would appreciate my insights. I will definitely return!

We were initially hesitant due to the low ratings, but since there aren't many dining options in Grafton, we decided to give it a try, albeit with some disappointment. However, we ended up really enjoying the atmosphere, the efficient and friendly service, and the food. We ordered the three-teller set, which came with a generous variety of dishes. The teriyaki chicken was excellent, and while the hot and spicy beef had a more Korean flair, it was still very good. The shrimp was well-cooked as well. Overall, this was definitely the right choice for a restaurant in Grafton.

I tried the beef along with an early roll, as they are both featured as the first items on their sharing menu. Everything was delicious, and there was a fantastic variety of flavors. It's perfect for anyone looking to try something new. My only critique is that the bark was a bit too salty for my liking. Initially, I thought the portion size was small, but now I'm definitely full. I will definitely return and recommend this place.

Probably the worst Japanese I've ever eaten somewhere in Australia. the worst chicken teriyaki bento set I've ever tasted. miso was too salty. give it a great Miss30/08/22
